
The International House teaches students about Norway and Sweden
Friday Fest is a free program held every Friday from 2-4 p.m., hosted by the International Students Association (ISA), and the International Programs Center (IPC). Each week the program rotates to focus on a different country and the international students from that country do a presentation about their culture.
Tuition may increase six percent
Student Government President Michael Tuso voted yes to increasing tuition at UNCG beginning Fall of 2009 as a part of the Campus Initiated Tuition Increase Taskforce. Tuso explained this decision, saying he "makes decisions everyday that aren't necessarily the most popular but that doesn't mean they aren't the best thing for the university as a whole.
The Carolinian is accepting applications for the position of Opinions Editor
Interested persons should submit a cover letter and resume to the_carolinian@hotmail.com no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2008. Interviews will be held the night of December 2. The position of Opinions Editor requires that you be able to maintain and work with a balanced staff of columnists, copyedit both staff and reader-supplied content, and consistently meet weekly deadlines.
